After a tiring 12-hour drive, arriving at Hyatt Place Baton Rouge was a mixed experience. Despite having a reservation, rooms were unavailable, leaving many stranded guests in the busy weekend rush. Once settled, the hotel's prime location was evident – directly across from Louisiana's largest shopping center, making it convenient for both work and leisure. On the business front, the hotel proved itself. Wi-Fi was reliable, essential for my remote work requirements, and the business center was well-equipped. the on-site amenities, including the fitness center and outdoor pool, provided a welcome break from meetings. the 24-hour reception and express check-in/out streamlined my busy schedule. However, maintenance issues like clogged tubs and sinks disrupted the stay. On the upside, the friendly morning and evening staff, especially Jermain, shone amidst the rude midnight attendant. In conclusion, Hyatt Place Baton Rouge caters well to business travelers needing a mix of work and relaxation, with some room for improvement in maintenance and staff professionalism.
